Good morning, Bill. I was tempted to name as favourite today's selection by Jean Ritchie, but that is actually because I fondly recall spending part of a morning with her at Berea College in the late 1960s when I was passing through Kentucky. She was so welcoming, gracious, and memorable. My favourite pieces today on their musical merits are "Winterlude No. 3" and "Yule is Come Jaiya," however. Hrinkyv's bandura sounds to me a bit like a hammered dulcimer and a bit like a balalaika. Thanks for today's offerings!

Thanks, Chris. I checked Jean Ritchie's liner notes and the instrumental attribution for that drone is Tina Chancey playing a viola da gamba.
