I guess today I would choose all of them as my favourites, except the Shepherd's Song. Loved the first two especially. And thanks for including the shape note song!
At the Fox Valley Folk Fest every year there is an area set aside Sacred Heart singers. Anyone can participate ( the group teaches how to do it) or you can just stand there and listen. There is something about singing together; it’s hard to hate someone you’re singing with. Maybe we ought to have sing-alongs with our enemies. Countries could do it with each other. I have hopes.
Once again, Bill, I thank you for all your work on this project. What I call "The Huron Carol" is my pick of the offerings today. The commentary that you wrote about the Basque language and the song "Birjina Gaztetobat," though, is the prose part today that I enjoyed most.
